"I would just say do you and don’t let anyone’s negative opinions get in the way of your goal. Stay focused stay determined and stay positive. Positivity is key! It’s real easy to get down on yourself but just keep on your path and no one can stop you."

Hi Nikki, it's awesome to meet you! I'm looking forward to learning a little bit more about you, your passions and your journey and I think our fans will too. How did you get your start in the music industry?
Hi Joe it’s nice to meet you too. What got me into singing when I was much younger was Broadway workshops/an off Broadway musical I was in. I found my voice and realized I could sing. I actually got my start in the industry when I was about 13 or 14. My first artist opportunity was when a rapper based out of Nevada asked me write a hook for a song and the rest is history.
Did you know since your were a child that you were on this path to being a recording artist?
I didn’t always know that I wanted to be a recording artist per say... I was always interested in the arts and had a creative mind. I modeled as a child, then got into acting in my early teens which definitely wasn’t my forte...and then got into music I started writing corny lyrics as a kid and was able to really grow with them and flourish that talent.
When we first spoke, I told you I had added a bunch of your songs to my Spotify playlist, especially the song "Games". That song is straight fire! Where do you get your inspiration from when you start working on a new song or album?
Yess you did and thank you so much I really appreciate it I’m glad you vibe with it! During the time I was creating my EP I unexpectedly lost two really important people in my life, which was extremely hard and still is. I took a lot of what I was experiencing /feeling and what the people around me were going through and turned that into art. It definitely became life imitating art.
Do you have any new music in the works? If so, when can we expect a new release?
Yes I do have some new music coming out which I’m super excited about. I got such great feedback on the Ep so I can’t wait to see how y’all like these new ones! Stay tuned for a release date.
What's your biggest goal, or where do you hope to see your career as a performing artist end up?
That’s a hard question because I learned sometimes what you want to happen isn’t always what happens at that direct moment, so I’m open to whatever the universe has in store for me and I mean a Grammy, VMA and a World Tour would be great too.
Your instagram profile mentions that you're based in Montauk and NYC. Do you spend most of your time out east or in NYC these days?
I would say both. I’m in NYC a lot for work but any chance I can I go to Montauk. Both places are definitely my safe space
Are you a native New Yorker? Where are some of your favorite spots on Long Island?
Yes I am a native New Yorker. I grew up in Nassau county and spent a lot of time in Queens /NYC growing up and my favorite spots on Long Island... Hmm that’s a hard one. So many. But to name a few I love Baked by the Ocean for my sweets and frozé, for dinner I would say Toku and Novita and out East restaurants big fan of Navy Beach and Surf Lodge is one of my favorite places to hang out and kick it on a Saturday night.
Thank you so much! I absolutely love rocking these sunnies. They’re perfect for a casual beach day or a cute accessory for brunch. I love that y’all have so many colors/styles and the price point is great.
What advice would you give to someone who's interested in getting started in the music industry, but feels stuck or like the odds are against them?
I would just say do you and don’t let anyone’s negative opinions get in the way of your goal. Stay focused stay determined and stay positive. Positivity is key! It’s real easy to get down on yourself but just keep on your path and no one can stop you. Also do what’s authentically you and what feels right.
Thanks for all your time today, Nikki. I wish you the best in your recording career. I can't wait for your new songs to drop!
